Ya that does add up quickly. Somehow Im reluctant to use half of an old axle (more like a 3rd I guess) by removing it from the annular section bolts leaving the shaft in the differential, as opposed to replacing the whole thing.
I love the Idea of saving time and hassle of opening up the differential and messing with that again when I only recently just replaced both output shaft seals and closed it all up good again... Its just hard to think about keeping a part of an old failed part and putting it together with a brand new part and keeping a part of the brand-new part to the side totally unused... Its a weigh of the options, and Im sure the old output shaft is fine, its just the perfectionist in me that doesnt like the mix of old and new... |

If you remove the original splined shaft from the Differential side of the China Axle it will void the warranty. Besides voiding the warranty I doubt if the Chinese Axle is going to bolt up properly to the Mercedes Annular Axle Flange.

I have a feeling theyre China Axles already, but I have no Idea how to tell. Ive dissasembled one of them already while it was off the car replacing the boots. Not much to it really. |

If you had the Axles shipped to you let us know if the Place you got them from is going to pay for all of the shipping for you to return them. If I was to buy the After Market Axles I would get them from a local Store. That way there is no argument over the return shipping on a warranty and there is no waiting for shipping.

JMHO, either get a used axle from vstech, or send yours to CVJ in Denver and get them done properly. Otherwise, you'll be doing this again in the NTD future.
