And another exception is the sensor compliment...the infamous crank position sensor, the air mass sensor, the outside air temp sensor, the four (count 'em) O2 sensors. Then there's the fog lamp wiring. The permanent 'bulb out" indicator message. The always-broken a/c system. The HVAC fan speed controller. And let's not forget the crappy radio. How about the "sealed for life" transmission?
One good thing, Mercedes towing services were always responsive. The car shows it's best angles when mounted on a flatbed.
I also had a litany of excuses when I owned the 210. You'll find you get over it once the car is gone.
