98 turbo wire harness fit 96 non turbo

Hi Guys Looking for wiring harness 96 e300d found 98 turbo harness . Will it fit ?
How can I tell that my sov is working ? How many volts does it run on ? The wire plugs are bad along with the wires. Thanks Greg

Very unlikely. There were wiring changes in 97 and 98. Even a 97 harness would likely not work.

There was far too many electrical updates between 1996 and 1997 that nothing but a 1996 harness would work. Don't cheap out on a harness.
