Genuine Lemförder, counterfeit Lemforder, or reboxed part...

Opinions needed, I am not familiar with the markings. What do you all think this is? Genuine Lemförder, counterfeit Lemforder, or reboxed part?

I know Lemforder does rebox parts. The 190D turbo engine mounts I got from Pelican were just like the OEM mounts in my 190D, both say "Boge" on them.

Boge is (now?) the same company so I don't think we can label them as re-boxers just yet.

I vote (with fingers crossed) for genuine.

Have you compared this new part with any old ones? Is there, for example, a difference in weight?

Lemforder reboxes the Phoenix Motor Mounts (same as the Dealer Motor Mounts) for the OM617.952; so it is resonable to expect they do the same with other stuff.

Also as the other Member said I think Boge is part of the ZF Company of whic Lemfoerder is part of.

I hope they are real, I did purchase these from a major internet seller, so I think they are good. I just didn't recognize markings like the "LMI Germany" or like this "Triangle L".

I have not compared them yet.

Here is the Phoenix manufactured motor mount with the MB logo ground off. If you look closely, the Phoenix logo is right under the part number on the rubber mount.

Interesting, I would of thought there would be more Lemförder w123 upper control arm users to tell about their experiences.

My upper control arms are made by Quinton Hazell of all the bloody possibilities! I get the feeling many people have fitted the cheaper brands. Knowing what I now know about the cheaper brands I would be saving up for Lemforder...

I bought a set of TRWs for my 126. Are the 126/123 arms the same?

no.

126 arms are larger.

Yep, I have been very guilty of buying the cheaper brands on the upper control arms in the past. So this is my first time, first hand experience with a Lemförder UCA.

As vstech stated, they are longer, but have the same characteristics. TRW is a good or even a great choice, but regarding the topic of this thread, I would imagine a Lemförder w126 piece having the same markings as the w123 piece.

Just for info, TRW was the OE supplier to Mercedes for those parts, for the w126.

At one time TRW could be had for w123s, apparently, but they seem to be extinct now.

This was my main reason for buying TRW. The previous Febi's developed squeaking noises after removing them I found the balljoints to be considerably looser than the new parts ...they only had 5-8K on them tops.
