Yes it is.

At first I didn't like it but it basically has a red wood tone that you get used to.

I didn't get hurt except for a scratch on my back and a tear in my shirt.

I'll only have the rental car for three days plus the U-Haul...total of about $400.

I have my 1984 190D torn apart after a head gasket replacement.

I have the head on but I still need to get the cam, chain, chain guides and all the accessories back on it.

I have all weekend to get it up and running.

Let's hope I get it all right.

For the 190D mind and test fit the various linkages and wire harnesses and intake manifold. I think I undid the cap screws at least once or twice getting things right. The timing belt tensioner is a clever bit. I took some puzzling and looking at pics on the web to get it right. IIRC, I had to roll the new serpentine on. No huge deal, but some problems solving and feeling clever.

You'll be cranking it a lot getting the IP had hard lines bled.

I have learned to jack up the front end and put it on stands when working on it to be kind to my back.

I am thankful for that.

The guy who stopped said he was worried he would find a mangled corpse.

I just sat in the car stunned as the sign finally toppled over on top of the car.

It took a few seconds for that to happen.

I was just sitting there taking an inventory of what had just happened.

He yelled at me to turn off the engine and get out.

Obviously, I had to crawl out the passenger side but I tried the driver door first.

Luckily I've got the FSM.

The timing chain tensioner may be what was giving me fits when I decided to call it a night two weeks ago.

I had been working on it all weekend and was pooped.

As of right now I need to pull the glow plugs so I can crank it back to TDC and get the timing chain out enough to mount the cam gear.

When I took off the cap screws(I'm assuming you are talking about the cam caps) I noticed that a couple of the sleeves were mangled a bit. I also noticed that not all the caps had these sleeves.

I've got some work to do no doubt but I have the better part of three days to get it all done.

Otherwise I'll be buying some beater or renting another car.

Saturns make great beaters, and can be had for less than a grand. They are charming in their own way, so be careful, you might just end up keeping it if you buy one!
