Glow plug reamer needed for 82 240d
Changed the glow plugs but what is the point when I don't clean the build up
Got myself some ratcheting wrenches a couple days ago, so now I need a reamer or something like one. Thoughts? |
Have you checked the tool rental forum section ?
|
Do you want to build your own? Or buy a remade tool, or rent?
|
I suggest using the factory made one... you don't need it often.... but you want all the distances and specs to be on the money so nothing is messed up in the process...
and be sure to check out the archive instructions on using heavy grease to capture the carbon loosened... |
I'm in the rental forum, and I have the official reamer, a few members have used it, all happily. Pm if you want to use mine, check out the tool rental forum if you want to see all the members renting theirs.
Also, click the mercedes Benz link at the top of the page and type your vehicle, then search for glow plug reamer to buy your very own! (And feel free to add it to the rental forum to make a few bucks when you are not using it!) |
Never been to the rental forum, will check that out. First have to replace tie-rods. front end squirrelly. Also have lower control arm bushings to put on but that's a spring job to do down at Greg steele's in md. It is too disgustingly cold up here to do things that aren't absolutely necessary.
Thanks! |
