I need to replace the engine mounts on my 72 220D. It has a 4-spd manual plus A/C. My questions are,

-How many mounts need to be replaced? I know at least two but I have read about a third center mount.

-Are the two mounts on either side of the engine identical or are there two separate part numbers for each one?

-Does the car having A/C require a special engine mount on one side?

-I have read about a special tool required to help with removing bolts for the mounts. Is this required?
