CHECK IT OUT!
200k miles. Good Condition condition. New Front Suspension. New Tires. Rebuilt transmission. AC works great. Shifts very smoothly. All electric works, including reclining back seat. Sun Roof does not work (cable) Engine is very clean. Only a couple of blemishes on exterior paint. All around great 300 SDL Veggie oil has never been used in this car. Still an everyday driver. |
Nice find! I want to own another one of those some day.

You've entered the big leagues in several ways, with the SDL. Enjoy the ride! ;)

Mine is a 82 SD with 187K on it. The SDL is a tad longer I have been told, hard to see how much longer in pic. I like the color you got. When I purchase mine about same price it was 8 years ago. I don't drive it much. Put 30K-40K on it. Seems to run better now since I got it. I did a few things on it. Good find I think for you not a basket case for sure!. I like the sound of the turbo and the big car drive feeling and lots of room inside. 22MPG all the times. Dependable.

Very nice. I have never owned a W126 but if I did it would be one of those.

a few more details........ Engine has ZERO BLOW-BY, starts in less than 3 turns and shuts off instantly........ shows the condition of the engine is tight..... no oil stains in the air filter or breather tube........ interior and carpets from 1 to 10 come in as a 9!!!!....... Upgraded Alpine with Iphone connection....... and the BEST is that it has a powerr reclining back bench seat!!!! :-)

Sacrilege. You will regret it big time. I have 2 of them and I enjoy them immensely. There is no need to add more bling. You crack the oil pan which is aluminum and you will say the engine or car bye bye. However, it is your car and money, do what you like. |
Euro headlights and bumpers will go a long way to improving the looks. Wheels and lowering are a matter of taste. Negative camber wheels are plain boy racer but maybe you're in that demographic :)

Just for the record, I'm not big on the lowering or huge wheels but do love the added sleekness and mondernized look of upgrading the bumpers, etc....... I will probably put some nice 16 inch wheels on it......I took it out on the highway today, it glided effortlessly up to 85 mph, crouched down and rode super solid....... actually it floated........ very impressive....... here's another pic from the rear view

Is that a rust spot ahead of the antenna where the left trunk lid line meets the rear window?
Monoblocks (without the fender chrome) should look good - http://mbworld.org/forums/attachment...d-dsc00439.jpg Sixto MB-less |
