dusty 300D interior

Hi,

The interior(mainly dashboard) of my 83 300D is extremely dusty. Ill dust it one day drive it a little and the next day Ill come out and it will be coated in dust. I had originally thought it was because the hood pad was shot. However, I have since removed the remains of the old one, and repalced it with a new one. The PO had at one time smoked in it, however not in the last recent years, and the car doesnt even smell. Maybe there is some particulates from cigarette somke/ash that are in the pipes and blow outa little at a time, but Id think after all the driving Ive done with fans on high Id have cleaned them out.

Any suggestions how to fix this? Is there some sort of cabin air filter that perhaps os very clogged? (Air doesnt always flow too well throught he cc system so I coudl see this as a possiility).

Thanks for the help.

JMH

Do you drive on dirt roads a lot? Are there any holes rusted thru the floor?
