1982 Mercedes 240D value amd 4 speed trans value??

Previous owner drove this car 65000 miles in the last six years. Insp ran out last November
Left rear floor pan and section under drivers seat rear - where bolts go in - is shot as well as most of bottom half of left rear qtr panel Everything works and it drives perfect - clear is coming off - interior is perfect other surface rust near tires It has around 200k - any idea (price range)of what this is worth? has manual 4 speed transmission and interior wood is dark not faded color combo is silver ext with blue interior Also I am getting a 240D 4 speed manual transmission and pedals, etc,. - any idea of what that is worth?

If you need the parts, it's worth a lot. If you are getting it to sell, figure the empty chassis has trailing arms, and subframe, the trans itself, shifter etc... The manual climate control Is nice, a few other parts are useful, but value tops out around $800 get the axles also.

I think if its a running driving car its worth more than 800. I'd venture more toward 1500.

I'd buy it if I needed the parts. A rust bucket will soon be neglected and taken to the yard (at least in the south where we don't have rust). Fixing all of the little issues on these cars is what takes time.

Few here have everything working. I posted a thread questioning such and most answers were "everything works except". We seem to consider most of the nonworking as idiosyncrasies that we'll get to eventually.

What's that car worth? I say parts car price $600 if I needed the parts. Otherwise, it isn't worth my time. Parting old cars to enthusiasts that are inherently cheap is a hobby & not a profitable business. People that drive old cars are inherently cheap. I've seen this in Z cars, Mercedes & diesel Rams.

Getting a plasma cutter later in the month to compliment mig welder. I might just fix bad spots as a challenge and get it inspected and sell an inspected car. I feel it is more than just a parts car - thx for feedback

i just sold an 83 4-speed for $300, might have been worth more if it had had the pedals and shifter.
