W210 Cold Weather Electrical Quirk

Picked up the 99 today....had some routine stuff done....and when i turned the car on both the ABS and the traction control lights came on. I cleared them, turned off the car, turned it on and everything was fine. I asked my indie about it and he said he has been seeing that on a number of different cars when it's been really cold (it was -6F here this morning). Just curious to see if any others had seen similar cold weather electrical gremlins.

BTW this is the same car that had the key-wouldn't-turn episode. Only happened once....but it was when it was very cold.

Sherman, I have exact same symptoms on my car. I am suspecting K40 relay (my relay is fairly new like less then 2 years old but it may have some cold solders). I am just living with it.

My K40 is original....I've been toying with just getting it resoldered.

I suspect it is cold weather/voltage related.

It could be saying "you are about to make use of these great features":)
