The 606 components look like they will drop right in without fuss, but I need to replace the tensioner/damper and vacuum pump first.
I bought the special socket that's a very short 8mm. Made the job easy to remove the fan clutch.

I got by with a hex key and leverage to start then I hooked the key through an 8mm box wrench to make a tie wrench. It just occurred to me that I could have hooked the key through a couple of 8mm box wrenches for a tristar wrench

I got it all buttoned up and started today. The fan/clutch combo seem to work great and fit perfectly. Not bad for $75, and moves a ton more air than before the repair -- it moved essentially none, now there's a healthy breeze at idle.

That should keep my temperature at a comfortable level when summer rolls around. Now I need to get to the bottom of my heater valve always letting coolant in to the heater core so I can keep my temperature at a comfortable level when summer comes!
