I'm in. Please do a couple 0-60 or 0-40 runs and describe how you did them and post times! I want to do more research as to why I some I've driven seem slower than others. I've driven two "fast" ones, one really "slow" one and two in the middle.

With or without traction control engaged?

With or without launching from a power brake, powered start?

has the sbc pump been replaced? it almost out of the 10 year warranty if not.

the only thing you may have a fault with is glow plugs and egr valve.

That is a really good looking car with those wheels in that color. If I ever buy a used MB made in this century it will be one of these.

So that is the 722.6 transmission too....niice. That is an awesome color!!

Those have a better 0-60 than my 420sel...now that's depressing...looks like its about the same as a W210 M112 car....6.6 seconds.

How is the brake feel with the SBC system vs normal brakes?

Why?

The traction control limits the power when stock.
Subjectively, it feels like mine accelerates faster if *don't* floor the accelerator pedal.

You can also get a nice Bosch cloud out the pipes when you accelerate hard, something neither my 95 E300D or 300D 2.5 turbo will do to nearly the same degree. Reminds me of our old 87 300TD with the alda tweaked.

Speaking of exhaust, here's another neat accessory I installed on mine....
