If I can find the plans, they can be modified for a 2" receiver. They fit a 126. One of the members here cautioned against a 2" because people invariably over load the hitch because they can. He used to build trailers &/or hitches. I want it to hold a bike rack and tow a small dingy occasionally and don't feel a need to protect the next owner from his stupidity.

found it. Here's a dropbox link. I'll leave it up today then remove.

What application do I open a CAD file with?
The pictures look great.

Is it possible to upload the files to this site so they're here for others to download?

Thanks.

In Europe, they were rated for something around 3000 lbs or a little over... that with trailer brakes, of course. I think the rating without brakes is 1200 lbs or something like that.

Can't upload files for storage. I'm using dropbox but there are other places also.

Re CAD: Let me google that for you

Couldn't resist - sorry.

Ok. I've always seen pictures in this forum but I didn't realize you couldn't store files.
Yeah, I first did a google search and I read the following.
The native file format of AutoCAD is .dwg

Your files all have a .cad extension. I'm running Ubuntu Linux on my laptop and I downloaded/installed 3 applications but none of them would open your files.

I guess I'll try on a Windows machine.

Thanks.

Perhaps this will help. It is an old file. Let me know what you find out. One of the SDs has decent paint & I need to haul my bike. I may talk to one of the local shops & see what they would charge to make.

File Extension .CAD Details

I'm also dumping MicroSoft as much as possible. Ubuntu 14.04LTS dual boot to Win7 on an old laptop.
