Going to pull the wheel off again today and see where we are at. I get a rotational scraping when in idle from that side as well and I'd like to know what it is. I am pretty sure I need to replace the inner and outer bearing on the spring arm.

Wheel came off, nut was tight. Guess wheel bearing is shot.

The sad tale of my wagon including the snapped axle shaft, bad rear wheel bearings and cooked differential...
But the wagon drives great now... OK... W124 Rear bearings are a BEAR to replace

I'm at a crossroads with this car and am not sure I want to invest time and or money in the bearing over pulling all the good stuff and junking it. Really prefer a 95 and working on tuning a 606.96x engine. The body is in good condition on the 87, but I have a lot invested in it in performance parts that I would want to transfer.
