The only legally enforceable parking regulations I know of in a Wal-Mart parking lot are handicapped spaces and fire zones. Anything else is free game. The worst Wal-Mart can do is ask me to leave and if I refuse, it would be considered trespassing. I guess I could throw some WMO in my tank if I really felt guilty but the only concern I would have is some dipstick keying my car.

I would have no problem parking in a space that has that sign as well. That wording is "painted with a broad brush", and could mean most any vehicle that is computer controlled & fuel injected. My high MPG 240 falls into that category. If I saw that same ChevOldsmoBuick parked there, I would know that the driver (actually parker in this case) is taking advantage of a parking spot that they should not be.

I have parked my 2001Ford Sd F250 there, Only had one man ask about it, I was running 80-90% waste transmission fluid for fuel. Told him about it and all he said was "That's cool" Its nice filling it up for less than $10 and getting 320 miles per tank.

Could you park your car there with a good conscience? I have no problem parking my vehicles there, as they all run on Waste Vegetable Oil. I believe that WVO is the most "Alternative" fuel that can be used. I have seen Hybrid vehicles there quite often, but more times than not, vehicles parked there do not meet the Hybrid or Alternative Fuel standard. Yes these parking spaces are not monitored in any way, but are there for use on sort of an "honor system".....Rich
Probably not, Rich. What are the advantages, or peculiarities of these spaces?

You got that right. Parking an unconventionally known to be fuel-efficient vehicle in those parking spaces would be kinda asking for it.

How about employee of the month parking? It's always available.

Do you have an adapter from EV to a 110AC block heater?

They don't know that I don't but it's more suspicious when it's 70*F out like today

Not sure you answered the Q, but I'll take that as a 'no.'

Maybe someone here knows a thing or two about the EV connections and will post whether there's a known adapter to say 20AMP/30AMP/50AMP. That would be helpful to know they can be used for other than the electric only vehicles.

For me it depends on which car I'm driving. I run whale-blubber in my 300SD, so yes, if I'm driving it then I park in these spot as I consider that an alternative fuel.

I missed the spirit of the question so I was being silly. a) 1990s vintage charging stations in Silicon Valley had 110VAC sockets. b) I don't know what it would take to convert modern charging stations to 110VAC.

There'll be adapters, but unfortunately there'll probably be hefty penalties for using them for other-than.

ALL the EV charging stations I've seen are public-provided, but sometimes on private property. That's interesting to note the possible political favor(s) (ing) going on. I've never seen an electric car being charged at these two-bay stations.
