Mileage is 197,000 on the original motor, verified with the Mercedes dealer prinout of all repairs. Has 4 speed tranny replaced (rebuilt) not sure if it has overdrive or not
The ride in this thing is unbelievable, feels like a new car.

I looked under the car, no leaks no rust!! The exhaust pipe even looks great

I was told that the green coolant is OK because the radiator is aluminum, that was direct from the horses mouth (MB Mechanic)
I questioned that too. Please correct me if Im wrong..This newer gas model is all greek to me. Now I have to learn about this engine, but so far its awesome

Dont forget the special edition has the telescoping steering wheel too!!
:):):D Electric seats that work!! The back of the seat is electric and the seat bottom tilts as well, passenger side seat is electric as well. I havent pushed all the buttons yet on passenger side...may try that today :P

Green is wrong, it doesn't have the buffering capacity and additives to keep the plastic bits from getting brittle.

MB radiators have been aluminum for a LONG time, that is a lousy excuse for cheeping out on the coolant.

I have never owned one, but judging from the 1990's M-B gassers I see in the junkyard, most used the Bosch Jetronic fuel system. For a mechanical engineer like me, it is a wonder. A plate is pushed by the inlet airflow to control the fuel flow, which is distributed to each injector by a "fuel distributor". It is all mechanical I think, like a distributed carburetor on steroids. First time I saw one was when I helped a girl with her 1990's VW Jetta (bad fuel pump, ran great on starter fluid). To work right, everything must be pristine since the airflow force is weak. I think the flapper pivot used jewel bearings. Downside of course is repairs, and parts are astronomically priced for M-B and BMW. Many people convert these gassers to more modern electronic fuel injection and sparking, using megasquirt and such.

the later ones used the m104 engine which didn't use K-jet with the exception of a few very early models. They use HFM, fully electronic fuel injection with distributor less ignition.

Another downside is K-Jet and KE-Jet typically mean gross polluter in California so you're limited to test only stations which charge a little more and/or don't have as favorable coupon discounts.

BTW found a 94 e320 wagon in the yard, any easy requests? White w gray interior had one good tail light iirc was drivers side

Forget Crutchfield for drop in dash speakers. Here's some info for direct fit speakers - W124 300TE Speaker Replacement on the Cheap! - Mercedes-Benz Forum . There's also these - http://www.amazon.com/Brand-Cadence-Zxs-120-Speakers-Watts/sim/B000PTRFZE/2 - which drop into the dash openings after you push insulation aside. They worked very nicely with 5.25" MB Quart separates in the rear deck of my '87 300D (no door speakers).
