Seriously? That's ridiculous. I never would even use it anyway unless I had skis in the backseat. I never have anything that awkward in length in the trunk anyway.

What else comes with the "premium" package on the 2015 BlueTec?

-COMAND navigation
-No-charge navigation map updates for 3 years
-10GB Music Register
-harman/kardon LOGIC7® surround-sound system with Dolby Digital 5.1
-Gracenote media database with album-cover art
-SiriusXM Radio with 6-month All Access trial
-SiriusXM Traffic and Weather with 3 years of service
-Voice control with learning feature
-Heated front seats
-Split-folding rear seats
-Power rear-window sunshade
-Rearview camera
-Power-folding side mirrors

I wish it was possible to order a few of the options separately here in the U.S. Oh well, I guess it will be nice later on
when looking at pre-owned examples (as most cars will have the package).

Nice spread sheet. Thanks Greg. Where are all $6000, $7000 or $8000 ones In about 8-10 years most will have over 200,000 on them and they will be $4000 - $8000 like the W210s are now. The only reason they are as low as they are now is probably because gasoline is so cheap and diesels are a hard sell. Its hard to believe W210s E300s are 18 - 20 years old now. My 1999 still seems so new to me.

Why is silver such a popular color ? They are not that attractive to me. The worst is visibility -- perfect camouflage with the road, clouds , and rain. I will never understand why there are so many silver cars.

Thanks.

There are a couple of sub $9000 ones out there now.

I have the same opinion about the colors. But, if the right car at the right price came along, I would not refuse it due to color.
I did buy a red one because it was red. That's what caught my eye. Then, it had the options I liked and a good service history.

What's the 4-matic option cost?

The GL Class is coming in as a non-recommended used vehicle to buy as per reliability, from Consumer Reports. The E250 of course will be of interest around here, but, I don't see a head and shoulders advantage as per mpg to make the switch anytime soon.

There's basically scads of these 05/06 E320 CDIs FS on the used, National market.

I must agree with Tyler that it IS safe to say that the market has bottomed-out on them. Will they be available for less money if you wait? Marginally. Now, is the time to make your move if you can come up with the buy-in dollars. Just choose your spending budget, and look for one that fits!

Agree.....this is the time when MB dealers still have these in inventory in good numbers. I've noticed diesels older then W211 don't show up on MB Dealers inventory. This will become true of these vehicles as well as time marches on.

Also, if you are willing to pay a bit more, there are still nice examples with mileage under 100k available at dealers.

For well maintained examples, high mileage examples priced at a discount make a good buy too.

my understanding is distronic only came on the amg cars in 2006

but i found a shop in houston that does retrofits and will do distronic for around 2000-2500, cannot remember exact price
think as a new option it was almost 2000????

because i plan to keep this car a long time and i do a lot of hwy driving i will be having distronic put on it in the next 6-8 months
this is the regular distronic not the plus
plus cannot be done on this car

this shop also does other mb retrofits
motorwerks of houston

That's a nice low miles one for a decent price even. Says it does have a sunroof in the ad. What a bunch of compressed, jumbled info though. It'd definitely worth a complete PPI before buying.

I wrote them and told them about the features in the listing that are not actually on the car.
They wrote back and acknowledged the mistakes and said they would fix them.
They still claim it has Bi-Xenon headlights, but it's is not on the data card for that VIN.
