Cocomats Review

So I just got the Cocomats for my w123. First impression, very heavy. Seriously, probably 25 pounds via UPS. Thick backing and solid materials. Taking out the previous mats reminded me how much better the cocomats are. All four old mats weigh about the same as one new mat. The rubber backing should stay put with nipples extending throughout. I ordered mine with Sisal material (I like the look) and black binding and heel pad. Drew at Cocomats is very helpful and will help you to specify the colors/materials exactly how you want them. Also they even made a custom center console piece which really tied the interior together and upgraded the overall look. I am pleased and sure this product will last many years. Timeless style and quality construction. Perfect match for the w123.

I don't have an affiliation with cocomats or incentive to post this. But every once in a while I get an american made product that impresses with quality and I feel I should let others know.

Thanks for the review....I've been eyeing Coco Mats for some time....my fear is my wife rolling her eyes  if I actually purchase them. They really look great!

Its not easy to tie Lebowski quotes to a peachparts post on floor mats. Bravo.

@mochasc does the driver mat have the "tongue" that extends up the left foot dead pedal?

I've been thinking about buying a set of these for quite some time.

Thanks

There is not a "tongue" that extends up the dead pedal. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing. The mat feels good and stays put. So no complaints so far.

I recommend them, in both of my cars. Look great and even reduce road noise. Be aware they do raise your foot considerably due to the thickness so they reduce clearance to the underside of the dash, a little bit of an issue on my W123.

I have had a set of Coco-Mats on my R107 for a number of years. Absolutely no complaints.

On my 85 300D, amazingly, the original mats are still in quite good condition. I think I found out at some point that they are Sisal. Also a natural fiber. Coco-Mats supply both Coco and Sisal mats.

Thank you.

Excellent choice on the mats. They look really sweet in there. I'm strictly a rubber floor mat kind of guy, but those look amazing. And yes, I completely agree that the console mat ties the whole look together.

Thanks for posting this as I have been contemplating acquiring these mats for my 300CD for the last several years. They look GREAT in your car. Well done!

The coco mats are amazing. I was astounded at the weight of them as well. They are the rolls royce of floor mats!

Been eyeing these for some time, but didn't want to spend the extra $$. Until a few months ago, Richard Linklater was filming a new movie in our area (Austin) that was set in the early 80s and they put out a casting call for older cars for background.

Sent in some photos and they called and said they could use my 240d, so I got $200 a day for 2 days for my car to sit in a parking lot. Used that money to buy these and so glad I did. Worth the money.

Hey that looks awesome, and may have pushed me over the edge about getting them. was that the sisal palomino brown? i bought replacement mats about 2 years ago and they aren't holding up well.

What are the exact specs of the mats you ordered? They look great!
