Got it. Thanks all for the help. I picked up the metric o ring assortment from HF and it had a right size o ring in there.

I bought the metric and ASE assortments from Harbor Freight. There is frequently very little difference but sometimes one is a slightly better fit - or more importantly when the fit is tight, one works. The other doesn't.

Anyone that buys a bowden cable should always buy the correct o-ring. It isn't in the kits or at the parts store in generic form.

Actually, the harbor freight set does not have the CORRECT sizes, but they fit... I think it's a standard set with metric sizes on it... 5.8mm and 6.8mm instead of 6 and 7... just sayn...

Yeeaahh... Definitely a closer match to anything else that I could find but not and exact fit. I'll probably order a few 015-997-94-48 s to have ready for the next oil change.

I order the one size that you can buy online, but the other one I get out of the HF kit. Works great. That kit has SO MANY rings I'll never run out. :)
