Is there a clear and concise tutorial somewhere for removing and replacing the AC/Heater blower in the 126 (1984 300SD) ??

The FSM probably is as good as any. However, it is easy enough to just explain how to remove the blower.

Remove the 6 screws for the knee panels and kick panel of the front passenger side. (3 across the front, 1 on the right, 2 attach the panels together, and 1/4 turn of the lock screw at the center console.)
Above the kick panel, remove the 5 screws holding the blower motor assembly.
Disconnect the electrical connector.

With an electric screwdriver, you can have one removed in less than 5 minutes. It is an easy task on the W126.

This page might assist (it's for gassers but that makes no difference):

V8 Bruiser Benz: Remove and Replace HVAC Blower Motor

It has been probably 10 years since I did one on a w126 but as a general observation, take your time and have a good worklight so you can see what you are doing. I seem to recall one or two fasteners were not obvious and I know some people got frustrated removing the underdash carpeted panel as one anchor point may not be obvious (this may vary year to year).

It isn't a hard job but if you are having to force something to get it free, it likely means you have missed a screw. Voice of experience, one of the hard ways I learned that the way Mercedes are engineered and made, you rarely have to woof on something to get it to cooperate.
