Yes. But if you split the injector thats the thread. It will thread into the pre chamber once the ring is out.

Its the same on 615.912. And i think all the 61*. Only difference is round or flat bottom, and 5 or 3 holes.

And then chop the top off the injector and weld the appropriate nut for the slide hammer.

Thanks for the info.

If you use a Rod Coupling insted of a Nut you will have more area for the Slide Hammer to thread into. See pic

Got my prechamber collar tool done yesterday.

I used a 7/8 socket which was ground down to provide the tangs to engage the collar. Since I needed some kind of way to engage the tool, as the hold-down bolt goes through the socket hole, I welded on the top of a spark plug socket (who needs an old spark plug socket anyway). I used a cut-off bottom of an old injector and welded a nut into it to provide the positive engagement of the tangs during loosening and tightening.

I used my spare engine as a test bed and easily removed two collars.

I attempted to tighten the prechamber collar on my active engine without success- it looks like I'll be buying prechamber seals and redoing them on the engine.

Here's a couple of images of the tool.

The suggestion to use the internal injector threads for building an extraction tool didn't pan out - different threads (as Diesel911 pointed out above). So I ordered a crank removal tool to be modified for prechamber extraction as suggested in several places on these forums.

Thats sweet. Way better than the one I borrowed. It came back with a head because the machinist lost a ring.

Got around to pop testing the old injector set today. They were surprisingly good. Pop pressure was 1800-1850 with pretty good spray pattern all around. I could get a couple of them to stream but generally they popped nicely. The pressure is a bit low but not out of spec. I didn't write it down but my recollection is that all were 1900-1950 when installed.

I've got another set of injectors sitting around I think I'll clean up and see if I can get a good spare set out of by mixing and matching...and the set out of the spare engine too.
