I installed an 80c thermostat though. But yeah, much like you I will not be too worried if it runs at 100c.

Much of that behavior on the part of animals is not just relieving themselves... but marking their territory.... so perhaps it was a complementary action meant to mark or anoint you as its owner.... a real honor.....
