All done and dusted after work today. Lifted up the engine maybe a bit too far and had a radiator fan blade break a chunk off the fan shroud, but never mind.

Maaaaaaaaaan what a difference. I could just about sleep on the bonnet while she ticks over now!

Will look into new springs, but as I look into buying a '77 ex 280, that sort of thing is better off in the new car...
