New Springs Question

I am replacing the front springs on the 98 E300 (MB branded, original spec). When I do so, will I end up wishing I had replaced the rears as well because it will sag compared to the front? Or will it likely look right? My guess is that the rear springs are original.

You may notice sagging but the front end always seems to wear out before the rear so it may be fine

How did front springs wear out on a car with only 92K on it?

I've seen some rough looking W210s from Up North. One, I worked on a 98 E300TD a few years ago down here for a friend. It had 70K miles on it, but was beat 2 heck in cosmetics, and covered with corrosion in the engine compartment. It looked 30-40 years old! I wouldn't have given a nickel for the wreck. It spent it's previous life in Chicago, IL. I didn't check his spring perches.

You will be doing the rears before too long.

Thats what happened to me, front were replaced, car was 3 inches higher in the front and i could only tolerate the rake for so long.

Got the car back. Looks great, front and back perfectly balanced.
