Wooden shift knob

Pick and Pull "barn" find today, sitting in a trunk......nailed it!! Goodbye genuine black plastic one. Sometimes it's good to be lucky.

I plan on putting it in my '85 300D. '72 is a column shifter. Since I just finished re-finishing the console and climate control wood I think it will look nice.

Agreed with MTU!

I got a burl handle off a w126 auto....refinished it...then found out it won't work

That looks like a straight shaft? If so it may be from a manual something or another..

I know the threads are correct, it might be a bit longer than the original, but I'm putting it in even it obstructs my view. I sanded it some today and the grain looks pretty interesting. The chrome is a bit tarnished.

it's not the threads or length- it's the bends and angles. Good luck- we all hope it fits. I have three in my garage and one on my w123 wagon which I installed a early model all chrome shifter base.

Sand that down to get off the dirt and apply tung oil. Lovely knob! A little chrome polish will take off that light rust.
