Slight smoke on idle

Hi all,

I have just changed my exhaust on the car, by changed I actually mean 'remove the backbox and replace with a short tail pipe'. Prior to me doing this the car had no smoke at all on idle however now there is a slight bit of smoke when the car idles.

I am thinking that this might simply be a build up of carbon in the rest of the system simply burning off, the tail pipes on the stock back box were quite caked up.

Is there anything I can run through the system to clean everything up or is it more of a case of running the car a bit to burn everything off? When I rev the engine slightly there isn't any more smoke and it doesn't smoke off boost at all.

I have noticed that there is a slight clatter every now and then when the car is returning to idle - no clatter on idle though - is this an issue with the injectors or pump timing?
