new comer

I need help please, I have a 1999 E300TD, injector leaking, what tool"socket" do I need to remove Bootom part of the injector? Thanks.

I'm not up on the newer Diesels (mine is an OM617) but someone here will know the needed info.

If I understand your question, it simply takes a deep socket to remove the entire injector, at least on a 123 engine.

OM606 requires a special tool to remove the injectors. Mercedes tool 606 589 00 09 00. Google is your friend...

You will now need to take the injector holder that you have in two parts to a Bosch injection shop to be cleaned, put back together, and tested. Might as well take ALL of the injectors and have them all tested and the opening pressures set so they fall within a 5 bar range.

Injector "leaks" typically come from the braided cloth fuel return lines rather than the injector itself.

You will also need to replace the one-time-use heat shields under each injector.
