OM606 inlet manifold - bracket on top?

Hi all,

I just need to check this as the diagram isn't amazingly clear around this, I believe I have installed the inlet manifold back together in the correct order between the manifold and the intercooler pipe. I have had a lot of issues with sorting this pipe out owing to the fact that the bolt that goes through the pipe, inlet manifold and bracket can only be done up from underneath. Further to this it seems that the bracket has a folded down lip around the edges which means that I think only slim sockets can actually get purchase on the bolt to tighten it down.

I just need to check which order the items should be in, I am guessing that the bracket should be on the top, then the inlet manifold, then the pipework. I am going to try and check this tonight although there is very very limited access so will have to be done by feel.

Here is the diagram for the manifold, you can also see the bracket that holds the 2 parts solid on the right item 152, I basically need to know which order items 152, 158 and 125 go together:

I have mine all apart now and I can check this evening when I get home from work but that will be like, 1 AM for your time.

I will say that as far as I can remember, I have never removed bracket 152 when I have removed the intake.

I have just noticed that on the 'how to change your glowplugs' guide it seems to show with the inlet manifold removed the bracket is on top of the pipework eg it goes inlet manifold, bracket, pipe.

Seems a bit odd to have the bracket between the 2, however I guess it would be very difficult to get the inlet manifold under the bracket, especially with the EGR pipe to be attached as well.

I only ask as when I took the car for a test drive the boost was quite slow to increase and only got to 12psi but I could hear the turbo was at full chat, I think it might just be a case of needing to check how tight the bolt is - as stated before the bracket gets in the way of certain socket sets actually tightening the bolt down - might just have a boost leak between the pipes.

I have just been out to check the bolt, seems that its all bolted up correctly, I think I have found the issue with the low boost, the T piece I used on the MAP sensor boost line seems to have given an odd reading.

I have now removed my boost gauge and it is now better, however I don't think its not boosting up as high as previously. I am yet to work out why its not as fast as previously as I know it was boosting to around 18psi before but then dropping to around 14psi.
