Angry Farewell Diesel Forum

Sadly, last Thursday I was rearended near Seattle Wa. And my much loved 87 300D bled out on the road.
I could not find another diesel mercedes near enough to me so I am over to the gasoline forum to sort out my 1993 300e 2.8 L.
I learned a great deal here Thank you All.
I will continue my quest for a 300TD Wagon and may be back.

Glad you were not hurt ! .

Take the time to find a good donor , there's plenty of them out there , just needs time and effort to drag home .

Seems to be happening to many diesel owners at the moment - going over to the petrol dark side (not getting rear end action)

Post Leaving Diesel

Well ;

Considering the asshat yuppy and hipster jerks who worked very hard at killing off the millions of Diesels here in Sunny Southern California , I can't say that's a bad thing .

They tried valiantly to kill my '84 Diesel Sports Coupe , when I bought it as ' junk ' it didn't run (supposedly , I drove it off the lot in HUGE choking clouds of oil smoke) and had the worst case of fuel fungus I've ever heard of much less struggled to kill off .

I have both but I really like the basic nature of the Diesel Automobile and may be fitting a Diesel engine to my Brother's 1979 Dodge truck.....
