Rich,
Many of us appreciate your posts. They are high quality, with ample photos and detailed descriptions. The kits you sell are also useful and affordable (EGR block-off, Sanden brackets, ...). Without some of you guys, many would have given up on these aging oil burners years ago.

Thanks, and I too would probably not have this hobby (disease) if it were not for this community. I have learned a lot here, and it probably would have cost me thousands of $ elsewhere for the schooling I (and others) have gotten here for free! I look at the posts here as an investment in the future of these cars, and the ability to keep them on the road. Thanks all!

When I started fooling around with cars back in the sixties you used a book or asked anybody around what to do. Myself, mostly I would just take it apart and try to fix it with no preconceived plan. Laying on the ground in my driveway etc.

I remember once working on my car in the winter in a friends garage across town in the middle of winter. My dad helped on that one.

I remember taking a transmission apart in my side yard at the trailer court when in college. I was stuck and my neighbor, Henry, a retired gent came over and watched. Seeing my dilemma he said, "Take that drift and tap here". I did and it came apart.

Peachparts is like having thousands of experienced uncles, dads, older brothers and helpful neighbors to lend a hand on nearly any repair.

Usually a plethora of helpful ideas and seldom much scolding....mostly good helpful positive comments.

Its great!

Thanks guys!

I'm posting this just to see what my post count is.

As I recall, TylerH and I use to be close in post count and we joined within 6 months of each other; then I got interested in Cummins diesel and my frequency here slowed down.

I've enjoyed all the forefathers who have paved the way for us; having all those previous repairs documented is pretty cool. I try to give back when I can.

I've driven two different darts... a 68 swinger, and a 72? not sure two door... I miss that steering wheel! (the horn button was all around the perimeter of the wheel...)

Oh man yes! I had that...called the rim blo wheel...gawd that was an expensive wheel! Then I loved the dealer fix for when that rim blo failed...they drilled a hole through my dash and installed a large black push button! It was hilarious...I had the motor redone...over bored v8 had the challenger rear....rally wheels n all....damn thing would fly! Weighing in at like 1500lbs...though the 12mpg a gal I finally achieved with an electronic distributor upgrade was pretty bad come fuel price that went to 4$ a gal Hints to how I came into the mercedes diesel field....loved the fact the worse I could possible get in this beast was 20mpg

Dad used to have a 63 dart wagon....reliable as an old nail. Then I had a 63 valiant convertible. Lovely car in most ways but the handling was abysmal! What a hog! No sway bar and tiny crappy brakes and a weak rear end that I had to replace before hitting 100K. It was a jewell though compared to my previous cars, a 60 Simca and a 61 Bugeye sprite.

Those little dart wagon are soooo cool but are getting harder to find well at least whole...they do rot fast...ha valiant and dart...loved it! They were like identical but different...I miss the cool 70s names...

Oh man I let me tell you!! When I got and started to drive that euro...it was like I came from a ford model T to a Prius lol I had all this power on my swinger but four way "manual!" drum brakes....all though "hi-def" they were still scare as all hell on a car that could do 120 in like 5mins lol and forget driving in the rain through a puddle! I ran into yield/merge sign...and a few other "first" time drivers no no's I don't know how we as a species managed to survive "learning" to drive in these cars..

They were horrible. I drove dad's nash rambler American in hs. If you pushed it a bit it would roll so much the skid marks went way up the sidewalls with very little cornering effort. Lovely car in other ways though.
