Opinions on Meyle or CRP brand outer control arm bushings.
They would be the equivalent of this part:
1163334014 part number on peach parts, outer control arm bushings. Any experience, direct or otherwise is appreciated. I've got to do something on this car. |

If you don't wish to pay for Lemforder, the following are not alternatives (I am throwing in every possible name I can think of):
- Meyle - CRP - Trucktec - Bremen - Hamburg Technic - AC Delco - Dorman - Karlyn (not sure if they make UCAs) - Anything sold on eBay with no mfr named - Febi - you pays your money you takes your chances. Not aware of any specific stories on their UCAs but multiple reports that other front end parts are done within 2 yrs. - as was indicated to you by both me and Panzzer in a previous thread, Moog is an alternative. The two sets I purchased were made in Turkey and Spain, respectively.

At least those bushings are relatively easy to change. Try the inner lower bushings if you don't believe me.
I just installed bushings and ball joints on the 84SD and remember not finding Lemforder parts for some of them so "tried" lesser quality on some of the easier parts. I'll report back how it drives after fixing the odometer, installing the cruise, changing front wheel bearings and getting an alignment.

Lower arm bushings on the W126 are a big pain, I finally lost a set at 270k. Probably should have been done at 225k. What a POS
Meyle is a joke now. I bought their 'HD' motor mount for my 300SEL, it was collapsed within FOUR DAYS. Sent it back, went with OEM...still working great. I would rather use an old, high mile stock part than go with Meyle.
