Well I can measure MY fuel economy accurately.
787.55 gallons to travel 29,390 miles but thats on the OM603/5spd.

Your mileage may vary.

As always YMMV, I get 23.66 over 7395 miles, 190 lbs(me) plus about 60-70 lbs of cargo. 85% city driving, 12-15 starts and stops through out the day, use the AC when its hot and sometimes lead foot it when needed. 50 psi on the tires. I did notice a power loss when I put a viscous fan clutch in.

Its not bad so long as diesel stays at or just below RUG around here...I can live with $2.73/gal. As much as I love this car when diesel starts to go up again, I'm going for a toyota corrolla for my job related driving. My loss is my kids gain I guess

Just curious....why 50 psi on tires?

Err...that's whats it says on the sidewall and I was under the impression that under inflated equals bad mileage, No?

Sidewall is usually MAXIMUM pressure for the tire, not the recommended inflation. MB's recommendation is on fuel filler door: 27 and 27. This is a one-size-fits-all pressure that takes account of handling, comfort, tire wear, etc.... However, some feel this is too "squishy," so opt for low to mid 30's. My guess would be that 50 might be unsafe in certain situations.
