the problem with the chart you are reading is, it doesn't take into consideration the vehicle, it's condenser design, the temp in the car, the airflow across the coils, or the humidity level in the area.

trust me. if you are setting a MB converted to run on 134, you are going to have problems going by that chart.

Can you post a chart that I should be using for my 85 MB converted to 134? It cools good enough for me at the moment (59 F at the vents @ 90 F ambient).

My point is, there isn't a chart to go by.

too many variables.

Add 60% of 12 quantity, and with honking big fans in front of the car, with all windows rolled down, blower on high, engine at 1000 rim or so, add freon until ssh drops to 20degrees then SLOWLY adjust charge to get 40 or so out the vents...

60% or 90%? What is "until ssh drops to 20 degrees"?

"SLOWLY adjust charge to get 40 or so out the vents..." It may never reach 40F with 134 if the ambient is 90F or above.

Ssh is the vapor pressure subtracted from actual line suction line temp.
