I pulled some Trailing Arms out of PNP off a 85 300CD a few years back, and think they were around $45 ea.
This included the Hubs, parking brake cable and the parking brake shoes.

If you source a set from PNP, DO NOT cut the Parking Brake Cable. Just disconnect
the ends where they connect under the car.

I'd say as Uri Geller's understudy (the alignment man) has already had trouble, the structure is compromised and you'll not get the wheel back in the correct position (or have serious trouble doing so assuming you can get a weld to stick on the rust!)

It`s not the rust you see but what lurks inside you cannot see.
The above picture I posted shows where it is cracking or separating from the welded on forged end.

You can patch it if you want, but how strong is the rest of the Arm?
Then the alignment issue as Stretch mentioned.

You patch yours and all is good. What about the guy doing a search on his rusted TA a few months or years later?
He welds his up and then it folds up and there is injuries or...?
