thanks everyone for the help. It was the two rubber o rings. removed the crush that i had on and now there are no more leaks.

I just checked my '83. It has the 02 casting. It also has an aluminum crush washer under the top of the bolt, and it's leaking. I've even replaced it a few times during the 18 years I've had the car. Finally found this thread and found out I should have been replacing o-rings. Now they're on order from Pelican.
