e320 CDI engine mounts -- LEMFORDER??

Took vehicle for free multi-point inspection at local dealer. IDed leaking engine mount.

Are LEMFORDER mounts good quality and value? Seems engine mounts last 50-100k depending on environmental, start/stop cycles and driving characteristics (aggressive/lots of road imperfections = more wear).

Lemforder's are about 1/2 price of Mercedes branded ones.

They should be. I did a front end rebuild recently with Lemforder parts and every part was manufactured in either Germany or Europe and fit very nicely. The problem, and I think that's the reason for your question, is a lot of manufacturers have gone to putting their name on parts that simply "fill out their product line", but aren't manufactured by them. Not sure if that's the case for engine mounts from Lemforder, but I'd look closely at the box when you get it. My guess is they'll be fine. I did notice Febi makes an engine mount for your car that costs 1/4 of the MB ones, as opposed to the "Lemmies" at 1/2. I'd definitely stay away from those.

Made in Germany

Received the mounts and they are marked as being made in.....that industrious, high quality control country, attention to detail.....Germany.

They came in cardboard boxes with what look like protective rubber sleeves.

The existing mounts have more life in them, so will probably wait until winter to change them out.

On the OM606, one mount had a Urethane(?) sleeve to protect from fuel dripping down and ruining the mount.
