what is the relay on top of k40?
1998 E300TD
k40 unit is PN A0005400172 there is a relay on the top left with PN A0025421319 what does that relay control? |

No electric fuel pump on that car of course. May control the SOV. Could pull it and see if the SOV fails to click open when the key hits position 2....may need to clear a code afterwards. |
so during some experiments, I think I have concluded that the relay on the top of the K40 unit controls the starter. it will not crank over with it not in place.
