Rebuilt engine and epic road trip
Well I now have put on over 35000Km on Rudolph since the rebuild and just got back from a 12332Km road trip across Canada and back.
Here he is at the Athabasca glacier, he is heavily loaded up and didn't even hesitate through the mountain range.

Very cool.
If you had left a little earlier you could have joined up with the Benzypalooza Group for part of your epic road trip. I joined up with them in my diesel SL for the Banff-Jasper portion of the trip and had a wonderful time. Here's my road trip thread: SL Diesel - Road Trip (Canadian Rockies) It's a shame more people don't take these old Benzes out on the open road.

Would have loved to join benzapalooza but timing just didn't work out. Its not far off from what we did and I will say that the Icefield highway is an amazing drive. Found some cool stuff in Saskatchewan as well.
