Part Number Needed For OM603 Vacuum Control Valve VCV Elbow Hose

The VCV on the side of the injection pump I am installing is missing the rubber elbow hose, as pictured on the valve below. I cannot find a part number in EPC and searching the internet proves useless. Does anyone know the part number? Thanks.

Astonishing, but the rubber elbow isn't sold separately. You will need to get creative or replace the entire VCV.

Those are very hard to come by. I've come close trying universal rubber fitting from autozoo etc, but nothing worked perfectly due to the vac line angle.

I have not tried, but think you can use a straight rubber fitting that fits connected then to one of these...which you would need to hang somewhere in the engine compartment.

Oh my gosh... this is not what I want to hear. The rubber elbow on the old VCV crumbled to nothing, and the one on the replacement is missing entirely.

What I did was to find a double ended 1/8" hose barb You can get these at well-stocked hardware stores. There's a flat flange between the two barbs, which I attached to the side of the VCV with a blob of RTV. It's held for years. Something like this could do it:

HOSE BARBED UNION (BRASS)

Mine is held together with HVAC foil tape, I might have to grab one of those Dorman fittings myself.

Remember this is a vent hose, not vacuum. It is there to provide a clean relief source (cabin air) when the vacuum needs to be reduced.

^ right. That black line is just a place for the vacuum to leak in a relatively clean environment. I wouldn't get too broken up over it. Transmission modulator elbow, important. VCV elbow, not as important. If the part mentioned above fits nicely I'd just get that and move on.

Thanks for the tips. I went to O'Reilly Auto Parts, and while they didn't have the Dorman VACU-TITE! 47410 or 47411, they did have a $4.99 assortment of 4 elbows (47431) which includes 47410 and 47411, plus 47409 (1/8" X 1/8") that is slightly smaller in diameter, so it snaps right in the hole perfectly using finger pressure. I'll have to take a razor and slice off the "CHINA" lettering...

Great job

So in your photo above, which one did you end up using?

I will probably use the one on the lower right (47409) as it fits in the hole perfectly. The one on the upper right (47411) looks a little nicer, but it requires a screwdriver to press it into the hole and since the wall is thicker, it's probably more difficult to insert the vacuum tube.
