Water inside the driver side floor; 350 SDL

Last night i removed the carpet on the driver side to clean it and noticed the foam under the carpet was soaked with water and the floor under it was rusting. I also noticed the floor air duct was not connected tothe duct that comes down from the center stack area. Could the cool airconditioned air cause that water to accumulate there or i most likely have a leaky windshield? or a broken condensate tube? Anybody with a similar issue? The car is 1991 350 SDL. Thank you all !!

On a 124, if you also have water in the rear seat footwell, the leak is definitely from a rusted plug in the rear wheel well which you can see from outside. If it's dry in the rear seat footwell, have to look elsewhere. Unfortunately I don't know if your SDL has similar construction.

There is an AC condensate drain on the driver side with a drain tube made of foam which degrades.

Also check for rust in the wiper cowling from leaf / dirt buildup.

Thank you

Thank you, i will look for the drain tube tonight after work. In the mean time i removed the carpet and the foam under the carpet was soaked with water , the floor had rust but i was lucky..it was only surface rust. I cleaned it up and neutralized the rust with metal prep and then this weekend i will paint it with POR15. But i need to find out the root cause of this; not running the AC until i find the condensate drain tube .
