Help To Find Repair Boots

Need help finding where to buy split repair boots for 300SD. I replaced all 4 boots with Dorman's three years ago. Some leaked for awhile, now 1 is cut in half. Need fast repair. I know these split boots have problems, but it's better
than nothing.
Thanks.

No one has spoken specifically on the 300SD that I can remember. There was a thread on W123 Boots a month ago that had the number of a split boot for W123s that a few have used. I am at the library and don't have access to my notes.
Search diesel discussion for Productive Input On Split CV-Boots? that is the title of the thread.

I haven't seen those zipped / split boots for years - they seem to be "gone" at the moment.

For a quick repair you can use self-fusing silicone tape (Ace hardware, etc). It is strong enough to temporarily seal a water hose, so no problem on a boot. I have used it when ball joint boots get ratty.

Any external repair to the CV Boot is going to require that you pack the CV Joint with CV Grease.
