What cap are you running? Even plain water should boil at just under 250 F at sea level with a 15 psi cap.

Jacobbeuk: If you are still boiling over, then solve the issue of trapped air first... as in "burping your om617" I have been using an Airlift II that I share with my brother. Diesel Giant shows how to use one on his Citrus Flush tutorial. Since I installed my own custom electric fan & radiator and I also have an air/water intercooler, the Airlift II has been a valuable tool... my brother needed it to properly fill the coolant system on his 350Z.
If you don't want to spend $ on the Airlift, then at least elevate the front of your vehicle and run the engine at full temperature with the cabin heater on and add fluid until the bubbles stop.

BillGrissom: I tore out my old radiator and mechanical fan/clutch last spring and replaced them with a 3" aluminum crossflow radiator and a Volvo variable speed electric fan with my own closed loop controller. It works like a charm.

The last time I burped my cooling system, I filled it with as much as it would take sitting level, then drove over to the west side of town where it's really hilly, bringing a jug of coolant with me. I stopped every few minutes with the car facing uphill to add for the air that burped out. I think I got most of a gallon in that way.

Check for any bubbles in the coolant with the engine running. Of course do not remove a cap when the system is hot. I am not sure why you are building such high egt temperatures either your gauge calibrated properly?
