need a ring gear for my 603.971 motor.Mercedes calls them an engine follower.
When I removed my transmission I found that my ring gear had bad teeth.
I have tried Peach parts here and although they list a re manufactured part number it is NLA and the new one takes 5 plus weeks to get here from Germany.
So I am hoping to buy one here from some one.

I'd think that you could use the flex plate from a gas engine since the 350 SD crank can be fitted to a M104. The gas engine flex plates will have either a 3 wing or a 60-2 crank sensor ring, this should not be a problem.

Just to be sure, does your flex plate have any weights or a sensor ring?
