TXBill, I honestly wondered how long it would take for you to see this and respond. It looks like your old one right? I would love to have it. Have you seen this one up there?
later,

I love that car Joe but I now have my 240 and must hold my fleet where it is at.
When you going to find me another 300D-T? Don

VERY nice car. Wish I had the money to bid on it. I'd jump on this one and sell the 80.

Yes, that thing is absolutely gorgeous. I emailed the seller asking about the reserve, here is what I got..
-- Reserve is $6,500, which I told the owner was high. I think he will negotiate a lower sale price if it doesn't reach the reserve. The AC works great, just got a coolant recharge. No problems that I can find with the car. This car was their "baby" since they are childless and selling it is tearing his heart out, but he has faced reality in that he will never be able to drive a stick shift again, due to the stroke. Thanks, Bill Herridge -- Too rich for my blood! If it was cheaper maybe I could have bribed TXBill to take a look at it for me. |

I don't know why but I still want a 240D.... or any stick-shift MB for that matter. Maybe if I ever find a really nice 240D locally, I'll think about it again.
That car is amazingly clean though. Last week, or maybe it's not even sold yet. There was an 83/84 300CD in Diamond Blue that racked up $8500 I think. I thought it was crazy... |
