Yes, but I still need to weigh the rods. If not a significant difference, I will concede on the compression (lack thereof). Do you think the design of the piston top makes that much difference? I am having a hard time finding a piston, so I may end up using the same one with the different top, but honing and installing new rings like suggested.

Yes there is additional trouble with the pre-chambers too. I've posted a link for you in your other thread.

I have some I am pretty sure....same as 240 D motors. If you want one I'll get my machinist to examine and sprinkle holy water on it.

I can see no problem with the prechamber, as there is plenty of clearance with the piston right up against the head. Just to be sure, I will put a piece of clay in the dish of the piston and press it tight against the head. I will then measure the thickness of the clay.....Rich

I weighed the rods, and they are both exactly the same weight. That tells me that I do not have a piston/rod balance problem.
