How do I run service manual CD on 64 bit Windows 7?

I own both the W210 and W211 STAR Service Manual Library on CD. However, both our computers run Windows 7 64 bit so the service manuals won't start. Can anyone work me through some sort of work around (like running a 32 bit emulation mode) that will enable me to use the CDs?

I've played around with the Windows compatibility utility a bit but nothing so far.

Thanks!

I have been able to run these in Windows XP mode. You can download it here: Download Windows XP Mode from Official Microsoft Download Center

Your hardware needs to be capable of virtualization (most modern hardware is though)

If it does not load for you, ensure virtualization settings are turned on in BIOS.

Thanks...once I install it, is it a program that I can then open. I installed it but then can't seem to find it.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium...so it doesn't look like it will work.

One general trick is to right-click on the setup file and select "Run as Administrator". That often works to install older 32-bit software so it runs in Win7 64-bit. I was able to get Microsoft Visual Studio 6 working with that and other tricks found on the web, despite a warning box, "won't work in current Windows version".

You can try this: How To: Setup XP-Mode on Win 7 Basic, Premium

I apologize, I did not ask for your OS Version. These steps on the Tom's Hardware link I provided should allow you to "workaround" to get XP Mode up on W7 Home Premium. I have thousands of links saved from my computer technical support days...
