NA190D2.5 stall immediately after starting.

I have done zero checking on it, but I presume it's related to the shutoff valve.

Normal glow, normal crank, normal starting, let off the key and it stalls out.
If I hold the throttle above 1000 I can keep it from stalling.

I will know more once I get time to look it over.

Unplug the brown with blue stripe vac line to the shut off actuator and try. The fact that revving it makes it stay running goes against the shutoff idea. Usually revving a motor with a bad shutoff system will make it stall.

It's definitely strange.

Maybe a minor leak from the shutoff valve?

Air leak in a fuel line?

That's just it... it starts great, then as soon as I let go of the key, dead.

I figured it out...

My blower was on, and for some reason, the AC compressor was engaging when I start the car.

Shut off the blower, no stall.

Yeah but...

...no but...

...shouldn't there be a switch that allows the compressor to spin once the engine is ready for it?

Or does it mean the compressor is shot and it is taking too much power to turn at idle?

I'm sure the a/c is shot. the compressor tries to run no matter the position I put the acc in.

it only runs for a short time. I'm not of a mind to fix it.

I figured the AC guy could fix it once he knew it was indeed the AC system causing the stall. Hahaha
