603 -- what is a heat shield?
 

I've seen reference to a heat shield in the context of injector nozzles in this forum and the records that came with my SDL. I see no mention of heat shields in the CD manual.

Is heat shield another name for the seal that goes on the tip of the injector nozzle?

A washer that goes under the injector nozzle holder, 07.1-230 in the engine manual calls it a "nozzle plate (53)", 07.1-010/4 and/24,/25 show it in place, #113.
