This is a one line pump. The part number for the valve is 0049971872. Can this one be dropped in a vat or is there another method to clean it?

There are two branches off of the main line with one having a metered orifice. If you inspect it closely, it will have a "dot".
I close off the two tees between the pump and the brake booster, took the main line off the brake booster and check the vacuum at the end of the main vacuum line. I feel sure that there is no leak or location for a bleed off between the pump an where I did the test. The needle did surge a little but never went above 12 on the gauge.

I'm still wondering if a vat of carb cleaner/solvent will do harm to the inline check valve mounted between the pump and the main vac liine.

If it will harm the check valve please tell me how to clean it out without damaging the valve.
